Paris Fashion Week Highlights 2018

In Fashion, Fashion Week by Mia Gallucci

Paris Fashion Week marks the end of fashion month for all of the major AW fashion weeks across the world. Over the past few weeks, we’ve truly enjoyed seeing our favorite celebrities, bloggers and influencers attend show after show with jaw dropping themes, gorgeous runway looks and standout models. Not to mention, the fashion week street style can’t be beat! If you didn’t get enough of NYFWLFW, or MFW, check out our blog highlights. If you’ve ever dreamed of working backstage at fashion week, Fashion ID #StyleSquad member Sophie Alpert gave us an inside look at her Paris Fashion Week experience in January 2018. To see all of the moments from Sophie’s four week trip, check out our blog. This season has had plenty of jaw dropping moments that you won’t want to miss. Don’t forget to share your favorite runway looks with us on the Fashion ID app and follow us on Instagram + Twitter for our coverage on each fashion week!

PFW Highlights 2018

Louis Vuitton

Janaye Furman made history with Louis Vuitton as the first black model to open the show in the brand’s 163-year-history. The southern California student turned model made her runway debut last year for Proenza Schouler’s fall 2017 show. “What a blessing!!,” Forman posted on Instagram. “Wow! This is such an incredible and unbelievable moment! Not only for my first opening show to be Louis Vuitton but to make history as the first African American girl to open LV?!! Thank you God and everyone for all of the amazing support! I’m so glad more women of color are rocking the runways. It’s so important that we stand up for ourselves and make a difference in this world.”

Chanel

Chanel turned heads and got people talking with their show’s unique location: in the forest. This moody, forest-themed runway included many 80’s inspired looks and bright pops of color.
